Welcome to Blazing Paddles: Wichita Falls Kayak & Canoe Paddling Club

What? Paddling in Wichita Falls?

Yes!

Obviously the drought conditions we bear affect several of our local opportunities, but we are only an hour or two away from some great water. When Lake Wichita is too low, when Lake Arrowhead too windy, we are off to flat-water streams in nearby Oklahoma or headed south to the many paddling put-ins on the Trinity River.

Blazing Paddles was formed to meet three basic objectives:

~ to educate paddlers about safety on the water

~ to provide family-friendly paddling opportunities and

~ to enjoy the outdoors responsibly.

Whether you are new to paddling or a paddling pro, single or family, young or not-as-young-as-you-once-were, we would love to have you join us. Come enjoy good company, make new friends and paddle away some of your stress. Come be outdoors with us.
